The Crew
Steve Neikam
Steve is back for year two as the host of Sportsline89. Steve also serves as a post-game host for SU football, basketball, and lax on WAER’s “Double Overtime.” Steve also writes for the Syracuse athletic blog, the Orange Fizz. Steve hails from Allentown, PA but he is a die-hard Jets, Mets, and Boston Celtics fan. His attitude and passion has reminded people of Rex Ryan which Steve considers it to be a major compliment. You can contact Steve at steveneikam@gmail.com
Dan Girard
Dan serves as the Assistant Sports Director – Talk, in addition to hosting The Wiseguys and co-hosting Sportsline89. Dan also hosts the Double Overtime postgame show for Syracuse Football, Men’s Basketball, and Men’s Lacrosse on WAER 88.3 FM, and is an analyst for the only pregame show for Syracuse sports ‘Cuse Countdown at CitrusTV on Time Warner Cable Sports. Hailing from Great Neck, New York, Dan is a diehard Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers fan. Despite being a long-suffering fan of those respective teams, Dan has nonetheless gathered knowledge of sports that will be brought to Z89 every weekend.
David Propper
Producer
David (although always called “Propper”) is the co-host of the show which you can listen to along with your donut and coffee every Saturday, The Weekend Wakeup Call. Along with rising with the sun every Saturday, David also serves as the producer of Sportsline89. Hailing from New Rochelle, NY, (home of the great Ray Rice) David knows what New York sports is all about. David’s a Yankees, Jets and Knicks fan, but he might disown the franchise if Isiah Thomas is ever welcomed back. David also works for the sports department at WAER. Although he’d like the Orange to get back to top form in football, and dominate the hardwood in basketball, he will still always tell it like it is. David hates getting up early, but he just needs to listen to one Katy Perry tune to get him to rise and shine.
